Every year we offer motivated and committed young people the chance to do apprenticeships in various areas of our company and by doing so lay the foundation for their future.

Apprenticeships plays a key role in our company and we are very passionate about the education of our apprentices! At the moment we educate 58 trainees in the profession of forwarding merchants, warehouse specialist, truck drivers and mechatronics.

Our philosophy is that only with competent, qualified and well-trained employees will we be able to address future challenges. We therefore see our apprentices as our potential for a sustainably successful future and apprentices who conclude their qualification have very good chances of getting a permanent position in our company.

Professional drivers (m/w/d)

Duration of training

3 years

Training goal

Qualifying professional drivers as safe, responsible and independent drivers of vehicles in both passenger, works, goods and long distance transport.

Vocational training

The following activities and skills are part of vocational training:

  1. Vocational training, labour and collective bargaining laws
  2. Structuring and organizing apprenticeship training
  3. Work health and safety
  4. Environmental protection
  5. Control, maintenance and care of vehicles
  6. Preparing and conducting transports
  7. Traffic safety, driving vehicles on public roads
  8. Road transport legislation
  9. Customer-oriented behaviour
  10. Behaviour following accidents and incidents
  11. Operational planning and logistics
  12. Transport-related cost accounting and contract management
  13. Quality assurance measures

Requirements

  • Age: 16 years. C / CE driving licences can be attained at the age of 18
  • Junior High School certificate

Duration of training

2 years / 3 years

Vocational training:

The training plan includes the following material:

  5. Work organization, information and communication
  6. Logistical processes; quality assurance measures

Requirements

  • Age: 16 years.
  • Junior High School or ‘Mittlere Reife’ certificate

Freight forwarding and logistics services specialists (m/w/d)

Duration of training

3 years

Vocation: Freight forwarding and logistics services specialists

  1. Planning and organizing freight shipping, handling and storage as well as other logistic services in compliance with relevant legislation and the interests of environmental protection,
  2. Controlling and monitoring the interaction of people and institutions involved in logistics chains, also in groupage and general cargo
  3. Using the possibilities of pooling consignments into larger load units,
  4. Deploying information and communication technologies,
  5. Obtaining information and make it available,
  6. Identifying customer needs, advising and supporting customers,
  7. Calculating prices
  8. Compiling offers and preparing contracts,
  9. Processing customer complaints and loss reports and initiating claim settlements,
  10. Acquiring knowledge about hazardous goods, data protection, health protection and work safety

Requirements

  • Age: 16 years.
  • ‘Mittlere Reife’ certificate
